Bush Wins 2004 U.S. Presidential Election
(Incumbent carries Electoral College, majority of popular vote)
November 3, 2004

The people of the United States re-elect George W. Bush as their president. "Voters turned out in historic numbers and delivered a historic victory," Bush tells supporters. "America has spoken, and I'm humbled by the trust and the confidence of my fellow citizens." The president and Senator John Kerry both appeal to the American people to come together and seek common ground in the wake of the November 2 election.
