Earthquake in Haiti
International relief efforts in earthquake-ravaged Haiti continue to widen and
are focusing on two main priorities: search and rescue of trapped victims and
providing relief supplies to survivors, says Rajiv Shah, the administrator of
the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Aid distribution points
are being set up around the Haitian capital, Port-au-Prince, as U.S. military
helicopters continue around-the-clock operations to get food and water to those
who have been without any relief for more than four days, say U.S. officials.

Important ESTA Update
Since January 12, 2009, all nationals or citizens of Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries who plan to travel to the United States for temporary business or pleasure have been required to obtain prior travel authorization through ESTA prior to boarding a carrier to travel by air or sea to the U.S. under the VWP.
